Administrators and developers can now easily manage EXE and DLL Servers and ActiveX controls with the help of COM Explorer. The GUI explorer can easily check all the COM objects that are registered. Objects that are of no use are marked so that everyone is aware of it. All the COM settings can be fully checked and edited by the in-built registry editor.
This software is attached to the Windows Explorer for viewing and registering COM controls. Inventory Report Generator for generating HTML reports is also a part of COM Explorer. This software is very good in finding COM problems in day-to-day life. Version 1.0 was a pure hit in the market. So came version 2.0 with extra bright features to make the users completely dependent on it.
The user interface present in this version is really great because it allows the user to select many COM objects at a time. Many objects, which are not of any use, can be removed at a time. Every time the registration of a new control is done, the user would be able to check the functionality of COM Explorer. Whenever any object is dead, it can be easily known by the marking and underlining of it by red color. Many ActiveX controls can be viewed at a time in the browser. All the updates are shown to the user. So it can be easily checked. These are the new features available in the COM Explorer.
This Explorer is very user friendly.. All the problems like poor installation can be easily detected. It is also very fast, and cleaning dead objects is simple and easy. So this is always comfortable to use. |
